Caramelized Herb Tomato Sauce
This sauce is so warm, comforting and flavorful made from our Caramelized Herb Tomato recipe. You will love this recipe as well as our Caramelized Herb Tomato Pesto and Caramelized Herb Tomato Soup.
Start by Caramelizing the Tomatoes. We are using larger Tomatoes for this recipe so core them then cut then in thirds
When finished cooking let cool then peel off the skin
While tomatoes are cooking saute the onions in the olive oil until soft then add the wine and reduce until syrupy
Set aside until tomatoes are done
Put everything in to a food processor or blender and puree. Pour back in to the pan and cook until it thickens up to desired consistency
Stir in or pour over your favorite pasta : ) Drizzle a little olive oil over it

1/2 OG White Onion
2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/3 Cup Dry White Wine
3/4 Teaspoon Sea Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Black Pepper
